Frequently Asked Questions
We are a Kenyan youth development organization dedicated to mentoring adolescent boys (the 'boy child'). We equip them with life competencies, values, and support systems needed to become responsible, purposeful leaders in their communities.
Our network spans 14+ counties, including Nairobi (Mukuru informal settlements), Makueni, Nakuru, Kisumu, and Trans Nzoia. We встретить the boys where they are—in schools, community centers, and on the streets.
Our mentorship manual involves 24 structured sessions (approx. 36 contact hours per year). If you have a passion for guidance, you can sign up through our 'Support' page. We provide the curriculum and orientation for all new mentors.
Absolutely. At Merlik Foundation, 100% of public donations go directly toward funding our core programmes: Mentorship, Education scholarships, and Community Outreach (like the Blue Bag Initiative).
The name derives from the Arabic word 'malki', which means king. It represents our core belief that every young man has inherent leadership potential and is a 'king' in the making.
